Details: George Henson Waller (1906-1940), born in Southampton, Hampshire on 15 April 1906, son of George Albert Waller, solicitor, and Florence Durant Waller of 44 Thornbury Avenue, Southampton. Married to Mary Waller. Lived at 7 Albion Place, Southampton.

 

Attended Oakmount School, Southampton.

 

Attended Sherborne School (Abbeylands) September 1918-July 1924; 6th form; School Prefect; Head of House; 1st XV rugby football (1922, 1923, 1924); Senior Class Leader with Badge; Sergeant in OTC; member of Duffers.

 

Queen's College, Oxford.

 

Solicitor.

 

WW2, Second Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps. Died on active service at Ampfield, Hampshire, on 20 December 1940, aged 34.
