Details: John Anthony James Sandilands (1917-1944), born 8 August 1917, son of Sir John Edward Sandilands, M.D., and of Marion Ethel Sandilands (nee Courtney) of Bombay and St Aidans, Sherborne, Dorset.


Brother of Donald Ian Sandilands (1909-1941)


Married to Mollie Evelyn Sandilands, of Little Tew, Oxfordshire.


Attended the Old Malthouse School, Langton Matravers, Dorset.


Attended Sherborne School (School House) April 1931-July 1935.


St Bartholomew's Hospital; M.B., B.S.


WW2, Captain, 5 Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. Died on active service at Oxford on 7 August 1944., aged 26.


Buried in Little Tew (St John) churchyard, Oxfordshire
