Details: John Peter Sadd (1917-1942), born in London on 19 December 1917, son of Major John Ambrose Sadd and Doris Sadd (nee Mooney) of Rivergarth, Harnham Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire (formerly of the Experimental Station, Porton, Salisbury). Lived at 100 Harnham Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Attended Chafyn Grove School, Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Attended Sherborne School (School House) September 1931-December 1935; 6th form; House Prefect; PT Instructor.
Articled to a solicitor.
27 July 1939, received Royal Aero Club Aviators' Certificate at Wiltshire Flying School.
WW2, Pilot Officer, 153 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (RAFVR). On 13 September 1941 commissioned RAFVR (General Duties Branch). Killed on active service at Ballyhalbert & District, Northern Ireland on 19 July 1942, aged 24.
