Details: Roderick Alan Young (1916-1944), born 8 February 1916, son of Brigadier-General Ernest Douglas Young, CB, CMG, and of Cecil Mary Young (nee Newbolt), of Sandhills, Reading Road, Fleet, Hampshire (formerly i/c Administration, BAOR, Wiesbaden).

 

Attended St Neots school, Eversley, Hampshire.

 

Attended Sherborne School (Harper House) September 1929-April 1933.

 

Tea planter, Empire of India & Ceylon Tea Co. Ltd.

 

WW2, Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, Devonshire Regiment. Killed in action in the Naga Hills, Imphal, on 10 June 1944, aged 28.
