Details: Douglas Hickling Ivens (1915-1941), born 29 October 1915, son of John Quilez Ivens and Elizabeth Julia Ivens, of High Bickington, Devon (formerly of Lascelles House, Eastbourne). Lived at 24 Park Lane, London.


Attended Fernden preparatory school, Haslemere, Surrey.


Attended Sherborne School (Abbey House) September 1929-July 1932.


Working in commerce.


WW2, Flying Officer (Observer), 110 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (RAFVR). Killed when their aircraft crashed just outside the perimeter of the airfield at RAF Bicester, Oxfordshire on 6 December 1941, aged 26.


Commemorated at:
