Details: James Richard St Clair Ford (1916-1944), born 9 June 1916, son of Major John Theodore Ford, O.B.E., Finance Dept., Municipal Council, Shanghai, and Mary St Clair Ford, later of 40 Swan Court, London. Married to Olive Mary (Molly) St Clair Ford of Hoole House, Chester.


Attended St Andrews Preparatory School, Eastbourne.


Attended Sherborne School (The Green) May 1930-July 1934; Lance-Corporal in OTC.


Went to China.


WW2, Major, 4th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers. Killed in action at Caen, Normandy, on 17 July 1944, aged 27.

Brouay War Cemetery, Calvados, France, II. B. 5
