Details: Charles Herbert Fawcett (1897-1944), born 25 April 1897 in Wimborne, Dorset, son of Dr William Herbert Fawcett MD, of 'Old Studley', Bournemouth. Married to Josephine Fawcett and father of Peter Fawcett, of Leven Close, Leven Avenue, Bournemouth.


Attended Wychwood School, Bournemouth.


Attended Sherborne School (Harper House) September 1911-April 1914.




WW1, Royal Field Artillery; gassed; retired as Captain.


WW2, Major in the Royal Artillery. Died on 28 November 1944 at The Royal Alexandra Military Hospital, Rhyl, Flintshire, aged 47.
