Details: Edward Adam Carse MBE (1911-1945), born 19 June 1911, son of Adam Von Ahnen Carse FRAM (music master, Winchester College) and Verena Muriel Fancourt Carse (nee Mutter), of Winton, Martin's End Lane, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. Married to Helen Rosemary Carse.

Cousin of Verner Duncan Carse (1913-2004) who attended Sherborne School (Westcott House) September 1927-July 1930.


Attended King's College Choir School, Cambridge.


Attended Sherborne School (Westcott House) September 1924-December 1928; Scholar; 6th form; Corporal in OTC.


University of Poitiers (1st class diploma).


Assistant solicitor to Metropolitan Police.


WW2, Major, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, attached to the South Lancashire Regiment. MBE, wounded. Killed in action in Germany on 27 February 1945, aged 33.
