Details: Thomas Stanley South (1910-1942), born in Redhill, Surrey on 29 July 1910, son of Thomas Stanley South and Mary Ethel South of Charlton House, New Milton, Hampshire.


Attended Forres preparatory school, Swanage.


Attended Sherborne School (Westcott House) September 1924-July 1929; 6th form.


Corpus Christi College, Oxford, (Modern History), BA 1933


Articled to a Clerk in 1932. Solicitor.


WW2, Flying Officer, 46 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (RAFVR). Killed in action over the Mediterranean (between Lampadusa Island and Malta) on 15 November 1942, aged 32.
