Obituary, 'The Shirburnian', December 1944: 'Two years at Sherborne was all that a late entry departure could allow Bruce Ross-Magenty. But even this short time established him as a sincere and loyal member of the place with many friends attracted by his likeable personality. From the start he had always wished to join one of the services; thus his life was as he would have desired it. He was killed in 1942 by an accident on an operational flight in the Far East.'
