Details: Anthony Clouston Partridge (1919-1943), born at East Grinstead, Sussex on 5 June 1919, son of Graham Partridge (Old Shirburnian) and Marian Clouston Partridge (née Thin) of 'Thornhill', East Grinstead, Sussex.

Attended Newlands School, Seaford.


Attended Sherborne School (Abbey House) May 1933-July 1936.


Attended New College, Oxford.


WW2, Lieutenant, 77 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery.


Died on 19 January 1943. aged 23, at Bangour Hospital, Broxburn, West Lothian. Cause of death: acute yellow atrophy of the liver (malignant jaundice). Informant: Major A.H. Muruit, R.A., Dorset.


Anthony's body was cremated and his ashes interred on 23 December 1971 with those of his mother, Marian Clouston Patridge, at Newport, Pembrokeshire.
