Details: Tristram Edward Oliver de la Poer Beresford (1918-1942), born 30 April 1918, son of Tristram de la Poer Beresford, K.C., and Eileen Beatrice Rachel de la Poer Beresford (nee Ainslie) of 1 Paper Buildings, Westminster, London.

 

Brother of Tristram Barnard de la Poer Beresford (1915-).

 

Attended Sherborne School (School House) September 1932-July 1934.

 

Engineering.

 

WW2, Flying Officer (Pilot), 260 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Killed in action at Mersa Matruh on 5 February 1942, aged 23.
