Details: Wilfred Yelverton Dawson (1871-1915), born 3 November 1871, son of Yelverton Dawson, M.D., and Alice A. Dawson, of Heathlands, Southbourne, Hampshire.

Attended Sherborne School (Price's house) September 1886- April 1889.
Lieutenant, 3rd Bn. Sherwood Foresters, 1891.
Cape Mounted Rifles, 1893-1898.
Lincoln Theological College, 1899.
South African War, I.Y., 1900-1902.
Ordained, but joined Roman Church; worked in Canada, South Africa and Australia.
WW1, Private in the Australian Infantry. Killed at Gallipoli on 27 April 1915.
