Details: Eric William Manning Price (1896-1916), born 13 November 1896, son of Alfred Manning Price and Hannah Headley Price of 144, Hill Lane, Southampton, Hampshire.

 

Attended Highfield School, Liphook, Hampshire.

 

Attended Sherborne School (Abbey House) September 1911-December 1914.

 

Attended Royal Military College, Sandhurst.

 

WW1, 2nd Lieutenant in the Hampshire Regiment, 1st Bn. Died on 1 July 1916 of wounds received earlier in the day in the fighting near Beaumont Hamel during the Somme offensive.
