Details: Philip Hugh Gwyther (1878-1917), born 19 June 1878 at Castle Bromwich, Warwickshire. Son of Julian Gwyther and Dorothy Gwyther of Castleton House, Sherborne, Dorset. Husband of Mary Gwyther of 17, Undercliff, St. Leonard's, Sussex.

 

Attended Sherborne Preparatory School.

 

Attended Sherborne School (day boy) September 1892-1893.

 

Occupation: Theatrical manager. In 1911 living at 19 Avenue House, Henry Street, London NW.

 

WW1, Corporal in the South Staffordshire Regiment. Killed at Ypres on 12 January 1917.
