Details: Thomas Alexander Collot (1894-1916), born 4 February 1894 at 8 Park Road, Willesden, son of Henry Collot (auditor in the exchequer) and Margaret Anne Collot (nee Berry) of 37, Woodville Gardens, Ealing, London, formerly of Seymour Avenue, Mannamead, Plymouth. Brother: Henry Gordon Collot.


Attended Plymouth College, 1904-1908.


Attended Sherborne School (School House) September 1908-July 1912; 6th form; 2nd XI cricket team; 2nd XV rugby football team.


Attended Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, and took his 1st MB in 1912. Took French as an additional subject.


Attested for the Inns of Court OTC in November 1914; gazetted a 2nd Lieutenant in the 6th Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment. Moving to Romsey in May 1915, the regiment sailed to Boulogne on 14 July 1915.


WW1, 2nd Lieutenant in the Princess Charlotte of Wales's (Royal Berkshire Regiment), 6th (S.) Bn. Killed at the Somme on 1 July 1916 in the fighting between Mametz and Moutaulban.
