Details: Brian Raleigh Egerton (1897-1918), born 18 November 1897, son of Lt. Col. Charles Philip Egerton (Indian Army, Punjab, India) and Lilian Isabel Egerton (nee Rose) of 43, Moscow Court, Kensington, London.

 

Attended Beaudesert Park preparatory school, Henley in Arden.

 

Attended Sherborne School (The Green) September 1911-December 1914; Scholar; 6th form; House Prefect; 2nd XV; Lance-Corporal in OTC.

 

Attended Woolwich.

 

WW1, 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers, 87th Field Company. Went to France in January 1916 and wounded in April 1916. Mentioned in despatches. Killed at Lacelle, France, on 23 October 1918.
