Details: Evelyn Arthur Atherley Forrest (1892-1915), born 4 January 1892, eldest son of Colonel G.A.W. Forrest (Hampshire Regiment and Commandant of Duke of York's Royal Military School, Chelsea) and Mrs Olive E. Forrest of 10, Catherine Place, Bath. Brother of Leslie Bunbury Lousaine Forrest (1893-1960).


Attended Horris Hill Preparatory School, Newbury, Berkshire.


Attended Sherborne School (School House) September 1904-July 1910; Scholar; 6th form; School Prefect; Head of School (1909); 1st XV Rugby team (1908-1909); Mathematics medal (1909, 1910). Took part in the 1905 Sherborne Pageant


Attended Corpus Christi College, Cambridge; exhibitioner.


WW1, Lieutenant in the Gloucestershire Regiment, 11th (S.) Bn. Served in Gallipoli. Died of blood poisoning in Malta on 9 December 1915.

Sherborne School: War Memorial Staircase; Book of Remembrance. Mrs Forrest donated £10 towards the Sherborne School War Memorial in memory of her son, Lt. E.E.A. Forrest.
