Details: Edred Severs Lacey (1887-1916), born 2 May 1887 in Bournemouth, son of Charles James Lacey (solicitor) and Amy Lacey of North Bestwall, Wareham, Dorset, formerly of Crows Hill, Ringwood.

 

Attended Miss Vernon's preparatory school, Bournemouth.

 

Attended Sherborne School (School House) January 1901-April 1905.

 

Occupation: Farmer.

 

WW1, enlisted on 4 September 1914 as a Private in the Public School Battalion, Middlesex Regiment; commissioned to 11th Bn., Cheshire Regiment. Went missing at the Battle of the Somme on 21 October 1916, presumed killed.
