Details: Geoffrey Hayward Elliot Nutter (1898-1918), born 23 November 1898, son of Philip Edward Nutter and Anne Lavinia Nutter of Halebourne House, Chobham, Surrey.

 

Attended Hillside preparatory school, Reigate, and Royal Naval College, Osborne.

 

Attended Sherborne School (School House) September 1913-April 1917; 6th form.

 

Joined Cadet Battalion.

 

WW1, 2nd Lieutenant in the Machine Gun Corps. Commissioned December 1917; March 1918, went to France to M.G.C. of 19th Division. Killed at Beaumetz, France, on 22 March 1918.
