Details: Benjamin Stanley Robinson (1895-1916), born 8 June 1895, son of Harry Robinson and Annie Robinson, of Avenue Terrace, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, formerly of Boston Road, Spilsby, Lincolnshire.

 

Attended Oakham School, 1906-1909.

 

Attended Sherborne School (Harper House) January 1910-July 1913.

 

Attended Royal Military College, Sandhurst.

 

WW1, 2nd Lieutenant in Princess Charlotte of Wales's (Royal Berkshire Regiment), 2nd Bn. Passed out of Sandhurst in May 1915; promoted 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Bn., in November 1915. Killed in action at the Somme in the fighting near Albert, France, on 1 July 1916, aged 21.
