Details: Reginald John Scarbrough (1880-1917), born 1 April 1880, son of John Impey Scarbrough and Mary Helen Scarbrough (nee Chope) of Coly House, Colyford, Devon.


Attended Miss Eggar's preparatory school, Blackheath.


Attended Sherborne School (School House) January 1894-August 1898.


In business in India.


WW1, Captain in the Devonshire Regiment, 3rd Bn. At outbreak of war joined Indian Army Reserve of Officers on Garrison work in India; came to England in August 1915; rejoined Devons as Captain in September 1915; sailed for Egypt in November 1916; was attached to 8th Bn., Hampshire Regiment. Wounded at Gaza, died in Palestine on 2 November 1917.
