Details: Arnold Ashton Justice Warner (1893-1918), born 17 August 1893, son of Oliver William Warner and Leila Warner of Stormount, Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset; brother of Clive Wynard Warner (1889-1920)


Attended Connaught House preparatory school, Weymouth, Dorset.


Attended Sherborne School (The Green) September 1907-April 1909.


Left Sherborne in Lent term 1909 to attend School in Guernsey. Took up commercial work in the Malay States. In business in Penang, 1914.


WW1, Lieutenant in the Singapore Defence Force (Penang Volunteers) and the Grenadier Guards. Volunteered for military training in England and was gazetted to the Grenadier Guards. Killed in France on 24 August 1918.

His Commanding Officer wrote of him: 'He was a most capable and gallant officer, who inspired confidence in all. He proved himself to have a sound judgement in action, a good comrade and a brave officer, who did his duty to the last.'
