Details: Philip Gulson Burgess, born 4 April 1891, son of John Gulson Burgess and Jessie Anne Burgess of Belsize House, Worthing, Sussex, formerly of Loughborough. Brother of Eustace Humphrey Burgess (1889-?).


Attended Mr Colgrove's Preparatory School, Loughborough.


Attended Sherborne School (School House) May 1903- July 1908. Took part in the 1905 Sherborne Pageant


WW1, 2nd Lieutenant in The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment, 8th (S.) Bn. Died 13 October 1915 while a prisoner at Douai, of wounds received at Loos on 25 September 1915.
