Details: William Hubert Ogden Bacchus, born 4 October 1885, son of William Ernest Bacchus, JP, and Ethel Bacchus, 17 Caledonia Place, Clifton, Bristol, formerly of Hornton Grounds, Banbury, later of Winton, Knyveton Road, Bournemouth. Two brothers, John Basil and Henry Ernest; two sisters, Evelyn and Gladys.


Attended Pellew House School, Grove Park, Kent.


Attended Sherborne School (School House) January 1901-July 1902.


Received his first appointment from the Militia in December 1907.


WW1, Captain and Adjt., York and Lancaster Regiment, 1/2 Bn. Died 13 September 1915 of shrapnel wounds in the head and a fractured skull received in Flanders.
