Details: Edward John White Abbott (1884-1915), born 10 January 1884 at Stonehouse, Devon, son of John W. Abbott and Gertrude A Abbott of 2 Wingfield Villas, Stoke, Devonport. Husband of Fanny Helen Abbott.


Attended Preparatory School in Exmouth.


Attended Sherborne School (The Green) January 1898- April 1903; awarded the Longmuir Drawing prize 1901.


Attended Worcester College, Oxford.


WW1, Lieutenant in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, 2nd Bn., attached 4th Bn. (extra Reserve) and then to Royal Irish Fusiliers. Killed at Festubert on 17 May 1915.
