Caliban's Rebellion

This spectacular re-imagining of the sub-plot of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', is a magical mix of music, comedy and fantasy. Set on an imaginary island in the Caribbean, the production focuses on the relationship between master and slave during the days of Colonialism. Devised, directed and choreographed by Jehan Aloysius, 'Caliban's Rebellion' offers a unique night to remember! An early version of the show played to packed houses and an extended run in 2008. The show is presented by CentreStage Productions whose recent successes include 'Rag - The Musical', 'Pyramus & Thisby', 'Bengal Bungalow', 'Stormy Weather' and 'An Inspired Swan Lake'. The production is a fund-raiser for the troupe's Stagehands Project.
