Faded Glory

    Newer Older

This guy is caught between two worlds. He really wanted to smile for me, but he didn't. He was perhaps reminded that he stood for the ultra brave Rajput kings and warriors during the glory days of India. Days that were of opulence, the colored glass in the window would have matched the jewels on the walls and the bodies of the people. The colors of his turban may be faded, but his lively eyes and the peeking sunglasses in his pocket hint that this proud soldier is here and now.

great portrait, love the coloured glass alongside - but think i'd prefer to see you tweak this a bit, take out some of the brightness and intensify the colour a bit rahter than the sun drenched, faded look. Great catch.

A couple of your pictures echo for me with the good choice of colour matches.
I really like the bright combinations here and on your biker with the yellow orange and red. (I also enjoy the text too.)

This is great! I love the light and I think the exposure is fitting. A very rigid expression, but it helps the photo in this case. Nicely done.
