Civet coffee beans

Partially digested coffee beans that came from civet cats. Now civet coffee is rather expensive, but this particular shop was offering free samples, so kuya Jhun, our guide, whispered to us that he never misses an opportunity to down a few cups of the free samples this shop gives out. You should try it but you don't have to buy if you don't like it, he said. Now what is civet coffee? The concept started in Indonesia, where it is called 'kopi luwak'. In Thailand, they are trying the same concept with elephants. Explanation in caption of the next picture. Usually horrendously expensive, it was being offered here for a mere Php 150 for 100g.
