Following Jayavarman's death, the Bayon temples were modified, espanded and augmented by later Hindu and Theravada Buddhist kings in accordance with their own religious preferences. Here is a broad overview of the temple complexes as seen from the entry point. At every monument, there are blue jacket-ed volunteers who check your Angkor pass, which are available for one, three and one week durations. So make sure you carry your Angkor pass with you all the time. (Siem Reap, Cambodia, Oct. 2008)
