A musical instrument fashioned out of a tin
For a very poor Communist country, I saw surprisingly very few beggars anywhere in Laos. (or Cambodia as well, for that matter). This chap was, come to think of it, the only one I spotted anywhere in Laos. I prefer to call him a street musician. He is seen here at the beginning of the LP Night market playing a musical instrument fashioned out of a tin, hoping to earn a few Kip. (the currency of Laos). I'd seen a photo of a stall in the night market which sells local musical instruments. I could not spot that stall anywhere in the market that day.
