Wellington Jersey House

    Newer Older

The Wellington Jersey House sits at 245 Pleasant. The Queen Anne home was built in 1884 and has had few alterations.

Tech info: This was the first time I ever used my BULB exposure on my Canon 30D. I was shooting at f/10 to capture lots of fine detail with high DOF. ISO 200. First image was at 2 minutes to capture shadow detail. Would of preferred to shoot at ISO 100, but I couldn't wait on the sidewalk for 4 minutes because cars kept coming by destroying the exposure!

I almost pulled the trigger on a Canon 10-22 just today. I know the CA's are a little worse on the Tokina, but I can't downgrade the build quality of the Tokina. It really puts the Canon in the grave. I've learned a lot of creative methods of eliminating/reducing CA's with CS2 and PTLens!

This is a great shot. The toning is fantastic and the perspective makes the whole thing work. The first thing I thought of was Amityville...hehe. The glow of the lights from the windows is haunting and beckoning at the same time.

Great mood! The dappled light and shadow on the house and point of view is imposing.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
