Kristen ('beauty' shot, img #2)
This is my second shoot with model Kristen (not to be confused with Kristin, another model I've worked with).
You can read about the shoot, and see more images of Kristen on my blog.
The model wanted to do some ‘beauty’ shots, since we had a hair stylist on hand. Background is white seamless, with a blue gel on it. I think my SB-28, with a snoot to make a central highlight behind her head. Main light was my Norman 200B in a ‘Halo’ softbox-umbrella, about 30” square. Camera right, just out of frame (see the blog entry for a set up shot). Camera left had two 24” umbrellas (approx size), one silver, one gray. Both had SB-20s in them, dialed down to provide wrap around fill on camera left. I was constantly playing with the ratios of the two fills compared to the main, just to try different looks. This is with them up pretty high, but still a nice even look with no extra shadows. Used my cheap ebay triggers, as I have yet to try my newly-purchased CyberSyncs under fire.
