The Pilot and His Plane - Sunset
Strobist info: 3 SB900s shot into a Westcott silver reflective umbrella - a parabolic one. The umbrella is camera right somewhere between 45-90 degrees (maybe 60?) to the plane (no pun) of Paul's face. The result was some strong shadows on the right side of his face, and if you look closely, my shadow cast on the plane body. Oh well - not a perfect shot but it was fun. All triggered by PocketWizard TT5's.
We were treated to a pretty amazing sunset and I was hustling to try to figure out how to light Paul as we lost light and as the sunset was fading. I could've used a bit more light on Paul but I was running out of AA's so this is all the juice I could muster from the speedlights in the absence of much ambient at all.
