Tong Park Mill, Baildon

Tong Park is reputedly the site of Yorkshire's first steam-powered mill. A small steam engine was installed at Gill Mill by Halliday and Watson in 1790, to add to the water power already used. This was eight years before the first steam engine was installed in Bradford city at Holme Mill (now the site of Culture Fusion, but still remembered by a plaque: )

Bradford Photo a Day Challenge: Day 21: *Steam*, although it would have served equally well for Day 22: "Chimney."
