Paonias myops

Here is an image of another large moth that I observed last clinging to the side of a building along with the other moth I posted yesterday.

I was able to identify this moth as Paonias mycops : www.silkmoths.bizland.com/pmyops.htm

You can find out a lot more about this and other moths at the following excellent web site (Bill Oehlke): www.silkmoths.bizland.com/SphOntario.htm This moth, which is widespread across most of North America, has a wingspan of 5.2-6.9 cm.
