Royal Mail Birthday of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother 1980

The Royal Mail postage stamps and first day covers are all from the estate of the late George Worledge who first began his collection as part of his recuperation in the 1930s.

George worked as a watchmaker and jeweller in the town of Maidstone in Kent. He was still collecting when he was in his early eighties and concentrated almost exclusively on British postage stamps. The collection of albums, first day covers and loose stamps have been scanned to share with his remaining family and the rest of the wider digital world.

The 300,000 + views on Flickr is a fitting testament to his lifelong hobby.

ALL LIKES AND COMMENTS GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANK YOU!
