    Thanks all. And jay, I was thinking of your excellent liberty pic and what you said about firing off 80 shots before you got something. I missed a direct hit on the Empire and several other full sky forks before I finally got this. Much harder to catch lightning than I imagined!

    Great Picture!

    I tried last night for a similar picture, sadly my roofdeck faces south, and the lighting was all west and north.

    for lightning at night I usually go with a 1.5 second exposure and f/10. What did you use?
