Lock That Sucker Up

Newer Older

Here I am, with my trusty steed, locked up across from my work. Note the lovely bus that comes to a rest right there and turns off its engine. She keeps me safe from speeding taxis while I'm locking her up.

Note still attached rear brake levers. And note the lasso-like front cable. Sweet, right?

How do you folks call your bikes in the USA ?
Is it "locking her up" or "lock that sucker up" ?
So do you see your bike as female or male ?

I say "lock her up," mostly as a nod to what captains call their ships - they're always female, I thought.

Besides, I'd feel weird saying, "One second, I gotta lock HIM up."
