Notre Dame de Paris
The fabulous Notre Dame, Paris, France, at the blue hour. This is one of the most beautiful and stunning churches in the world, and surely the most famous one. This picture was taken on a really cold evening.
Notre Dame is a gothic cathedral built from 1163 to 1345 and it's situated in the 4th arrondissement (district) of Paris, in a little island called Ile de la Cite, surrounded by the Seine river, and connected to the city by several bridges, such as the St. Michel bridge and the famous Pont Neuf.
Notre Dame is 69 meters tall, 48 meters wide and 130 meters long, and it's dedicated to the Virgin Mary, so it comes the name of Notre Dame (Our Lady).
This picture was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Canon EF 70-200 mm f.2,8 IS L II USM lens.
