Iron Mountain Train E8

    Took a few minutes today to capture a couple pics of a local train that was sitting idle. One of the engineers happened to be there and was kind enough to give my family and I the grand tour. You can find more info here at "".

    This image is of their E8 engine built in 1951 and was used for Amtrak from 1951 to 1980.

      Serrator, that is a gem. And to be lucky enough not only to find it in PRR lettering, but also in the ORIGINAL 5 stripes is really remarkable. The only thing that they apparently removed is the trainphone antennas. Look around for a K4, if you get a chance.
