Wow Sergey, they're a work of art, must have taken hours to do - what am I saying they were made in prison!

Perhaps you can help me with some information?
Why do Russian packs only have 36 cards in them?

Poker is not popular in Russia and most of the games played in there use only 36 cards so it became a standard.

I don't know the history of exactly when and why they decided not to print lower cards, but I just assume that they were just not needed and during soviet days, they decided not to spend excessive materials, especially if that supported "foreign" games.

Actually, most popular game of Russian intelligentsia, "Preferance" uses just 32 cards (7-Ace).

Hi - we have published books on Russian Criminal Tattoos, is it possible to get some hi-res scans of these cards? We can swap for some books.

    Thanks.
