taking liberties with the gold

first, this is a very large file, so you might want to see it in a bigger size

i was walking through london, on my way from the museum of the history of london (that black death was a nasty thing) down to the river when i found myself smack in front of st. paul's

i loved the pride queen v is showing, especially with that majestic tower behind her

when i got home, i started to think about how to rescue a sort of drab color scheme, deciding eventually to push it all the way to utter drabness, and then bring back the gold from the metal bits on the statue and clock and finial in the tower

not being a real photoshop pro, this took me forever, but i have printed this, and quite like the look, esp on a rough water-color type paper (hahn german etching, i think it was)
