Falkirk Wheel at Sunset - good news and bad news

    Newer Older

OK, first the good news, I love this well-photographed architectural wonder in Falkirk and had a good time shooting it the other day.

The bad news was that I dropped my lovely B&W ND1000 filter into the canal via an improbable bounce off my knee. I'm surprised that the air above the Falkirk wheel hasn't permanently turned blue from my five minutes of cussing about it! Grrr.

It was a lovely sunset, though and I read that Devilineden had a similar mishap with his Lee ND filter so he must share my pain! PS'd a wee bit after the HDR, mainly for warmth.

Kristin L. Ware, Maerten Prins, and 129 other people added this photo to their favorites.

Stunning version of a well photographed location.

I think the filter manufacturers should have a wee hole in the filter so you can tie a bit of string to them...

sorry to hear about the filter :o(

re the shot, I think this is the most impressive shot I've seen of this location, I've occasionaly thought about heading there but felt that everyone else had probably already done what you could there so it's nice to see a new perpesctive, as devilineden says it's good to see you putting your own stamp on it, well done
