Conceptualized as an innovative way to browse through a catalog of products, the HMHNYC online store was designed to condense an entire e-commerce site on one single page.
Upon first load, Products are showcased as swatches, which increase to full-size with more detailed description upon mouse-clicks. User can filter products by categories, which is visualized by natural re-shuffling.
Shopping was made simple by utilizing a shopping cart panel at the bottom of the page. The user can add and remove products, change quantities, and see the subtotal of the orders without navigating away from the shopping experience.
Additionally, the site is designed to be monitor-resolution-independent: resizing the browser window automatically reconfigures the display area to fit the content. A trully liquid browsing experience.
