Sydney Opera House / Sydney, Australia / SML.20140315.6D.30926.P1.BW — Explored

The Sydney Opera House, designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, has been photographed tirelessly since its opening. That makes it harder to find a point of view that may be of interest.

I have often found its roof to be most interesting, so I try to capture its spirit in an abstract manner. To get this view, you really need a long lens—400mm here—because there is no way to get the same view up close with a wide angle. This also shows that the 100-400 is not just for birds and moons photos. It definitely has its use even when traveling.

Photographed with the Canon EOS 6D + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM.
