Paradise, MI 1987
From the Archives
I've been a little bit preoccupied recently and have not been engaging with the Flickr universe as much, but I couldn't let the month slip away without making a photographic comment regarding the current La Pura Vida monthly theme. Hannah Pierce-Carlson is doing the editing and I don't know if this image is what she is looking for, but I had to post it for two good reasons.
One is that I wanted my contacts and friends who might not be aware of La Pura Vida the opportunity to check out this great group and the people associated with it. Two, this particular photograph relates rather directly to the July theme, and I think demonstrates rather interestingly to me, the synchronicities possible in todays photographic universe.
This is a photograph of our two daughters, Sarah and Emily, in a motel room in Paradise Michigan after a long day at nearby Tahquamenon Falls State Park.
My personal contemporary "wow factor" was ignited contemplating the means of connection possible today that was not dreamed of when this was made.
