It was a perfect first day of spring! We took our first snow free hike in the Kettle Moraine Forest today (although it was a bit muddy) and the weather was a very comfortable 57 degrees. We also saw our first moths!
Since the 3rd of this month, we’ve been very happy to see caterpillars, sandhill cranes, red winged blackbirds, starlings, robins, and turkey vultures come back. We also saw a flock of snow geese fly over our house, which is the first time we’ve ever seen them.
One thing we haven’t been happy about is all of the trash the snow has uncovered. In the last week or so, we’ve filled a bag on almost every outing.
