a volunteer of the Gates exhibit. She was dispensing advice, good cheer, and swatches of material from which the Gates were sewn.

She told us some interesting tidbits about the show - every morning the volunteers would gather at 7am in a building just off Central Park, to go over the previous day's events. The Christos would attend this meeting, and serve breakfast to the volunteers. They asked questions of the volunteers - what questions do people ask? Any issues with the Gates themselves? Any problems? Apparently, three Gates were stolen during the exhibit. Anything else that we should know about?

The Christos drove around the Park daily, making themselves available to visitors for questions, comments. Beautiful to know that the artists were so involved not only in the conception and production of the work, but also during its exhibition
