Camusdarach Beach

The fictional Scottish village of Ferness was the setting for one of my all time favorite movies, Local Hero, filmed in 1983. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_Hero Ferness was supposedly on the west coast of Scotland. The village was a narrow strip by a beach, next to the ocean. In fact the beach, shown here, is on the west coast, but the actual village (next shot) is on the east coast. Still, it's a gorgeous setting and a great movie. www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4WQZbGMrl4

Happer (Burt Lancaster) : [Morris is on the roof, putting up hate messages against Happer, who is calling his secretary] "There's a madman on the roof. You'd better call the police to get some marksmen over here. Shoot him down. Shoot to kill."
